When asked why he was running for mayor Ron responded as follows: I am running for Mayor in Milltown because I care deeply for this community and its small town feel. I don’t want to see those things which make us all so proud about our town lost. “Pride in Milltown” has to be more than a slogan. I have never been one to sit on the sidelines. I want to play an active role in meeting our town’s obligations to its residents and in solving our tough issues. As a military veteran, and through my 38 year career in law enforcement, I have dedicated my life to people and public service.  It’s what I believe in and what I know.

Being retired I am able to serve our residents on a full-time basis and am available virtually any time for resident questions, concerns or comments. I believe that hard work and dedication is the only way to succeed in life. I am not a career politician. I owe no one for my career advancements or my current position as Post Commander at the American Legion in Milltown.

I am well educated and strong in my convictions. I believe my integrity and my many life experiences are well suited to address the difficult financial problems and community needs facing our home town.
